New Ice Cream Shop in Portland?

5 Jan

My friends Jessica and Noah invited me to dinner tonight. I said YES because going to dinner with them ALWAYS guarantees I will get dessert! We had a good dinner and the tough part is always deciding what dessert to get. Now most Portlanders, in the winter, would have had cake at Papa Haydns, a cupcake at Cupcake Jones, or a piece of pie at Random Order. Oh no!! The 3 of us like ice cream. Anytime of the year. Anytime of the day. We love ice cream. I had not been to What’s the Scoop? I think it is relatively new.
what the scoop
So we went there!

There was about 10-12 flavors. She said they rotated them. I had the brown butter almond brittle with honey caramel. (I’m very sad I didn’t take a picture) Noah had the brown butter almond brittle. Jessica had the sticky toffee pudding with toasted marshmallow. In addition to the flavors we got, we tried mint chunk, bourbon coffee, and the almond joy. They were all delicious. I would totally recommend it! They had a few flavors infused with rum and tequila if that is your type of ice cream. Next time I’m going to try “The Baked” sundae.
