Pac Crest weeks #17 & #18

28 May

I have officially moved into my Pacific Crest(PC) training. I am just going to continue the weeks from Wildflower. I feel like I have yet to get back into the routine of things. I had Wildflower, Bend training weekend, and RNR Portland. I went to Eugene last weekend. It has been nice. I do most of my workouts. The weather has been nice. I have a ton of commuting miles.

I have my base set up. I am just working on speed right now. I have Blue Lake Olympic in 2 weeks. I have PC long course in 5 weeks. Deschutes Dash Olympic in 7 weeks. That will round out my triathlons for the year! I can not believe June is in a few days! Crazy talk!

Miles are low(ish) but here they are:

PC training week #17
Swim: 8500 meters
Bike: 91 miles (25 road miles and 66 commuting miles)
Run: 17.1 miles

1 pilates class

PC training week #18
Swim: 8300 meters
Bike: 116 miles (60 road miles and 56 commuting miles)
Run: 9.5 miles

1 pilates class

Here is a video from what looks like 2010! Last year the weather was super crappy. Lets hope that it is as nice as this year! I did it in 2008 and 2009. It was HOT!!

What is your next race? Blue Lake Oly

Is there something you are focusing on in particular? Getting faster; Always working on mental strength

I’m doing my first tri of the year this weekend! A sprint distance. Then hopefully I’ll do an olympic distance in early August. Way to keep up on the training through your other races and weekends away!

My next race is actually tonight (a 5k) and then on Sunday I’m doing a half Ironman. Yikes!

The 5km got cancelled tonight due to thunderstorms 😦
We’re doing the Oliver half Ironman in BC. I’ve heard it’s a good one!
We just signed up for it a few weeks ago. I’ve been keeping it on the down low because I’m going to really take it easy if my knee hurts so I don’t ruin anything for CdA!
