The NEW Challenge + Giveaway Winner

5 Aug

I felt really good after the first challenge. I did not go crazy after I finished like I thought I would. I really tried to be good (after I got home from vacation)!!

I of course ate the epic post challenge/Pac Crest sundae.

I “shared” a few desserts with Dan. (Mainly Panini’s)

I made some Peanut Butter Cup Cookie Crumble bars for ladies night.

I made some Vegan 7-layer bar cookies for my kick-ass Cascade Lakes Relay team. I do not even think they knew they were vegan! Score! (This recipe will be up by the end of the week)

I really thought about going cold-turkey again until August 25th (Hood-To-Coast) BUT I am going to Olympia to see some friends and there is already a plan for some chocolate cake!

I decided that I should try to do something different! What if I just ate 1 dessert a week?! Could I do that? Until the Chicago Marathon. 10 weeks away. 10 desserts!!

Well it is the 5th of August already and the decision was made on July 31st that I would only have 1 dessert on Sunday for the next 10 weeks.

It just so happens that I did Cascade Lakes Relay this weekend and what do I like to have after races?? Dairy Queen Blizzard! Every time!

peanut butter cup blizzard...ALMOST always! It was a SMALL too!

peanut butter cup blizzard…ALMOST always! It was a SMALL too!

I feel like this might be good and bad at the same time!
Pro: I am not depriving myself totally.
Con: I will spend my entire week trying to get over the dessert I had on Sunday.
Pro: I have to learn to moderate!
Con: 10 treats in 70 days! Sad! Sweets are my only vice and I am depriving myself of that one guilty pleasure.
Pro: I am dating a guy that is not into sweets as much as me.
Con: I have sucked him into doing the challenge. That may not be good for the relationship!

Here is to another 10 weeks. I hope it WORKS!! 🙂

FINALLY: The announcement of the Nuun 4-Pack Giveaway. Andrea M won by means of “follow the blog”. She picked tri-berry. Enjoy and Stay hydrated Andrea!!

Any other challenges happening right now?

This sounds like a pretty good challenge. It might make you really think about what special dessert you want to have each week. Good luck! 🙂
