Cookies Please!

15 May

I got a text from Erica this morning wishing me a happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. HELLO! I forgot there was such a thing. I could ALWAYS count on Erica to know when the BIG holidays are!

I quickly looked up a chocolate chip recipe that I had not made before. So I could “think” about making cookies when I got home from the dance party I was going to.

I bet your thinking…a dance party??!! YES, a dance party for under 5 year olds. It was hysterical. They have music, balloons, and costumes. You come ready to dance and have fun!

Blair could have cared less. She fell asleep. I couldn’t get a good one of Seth dancing. He did like playing with the balloons too!

When I got home I decided to make the chocolate chip cookies. It was after all National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! I remember finding out late last year(from Erica) but did not have time to bake them. I decided on the best soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies.

Of course you have to “chill” them before baking them. I decided perfect. I was going to pi-yo and doing a couple of errands. I would bake them when I got home!

I had another awesome idea and left one ball of dough out and bake it in the toaster oven!

GENIUS!

I sent this to Dan:

I didn’t tell him there were more in the fridge!! 🙂

Freshly baked!

Happy Cookie Day!! (Maybe my new favorite day!)

I love playing tricks like that on Todd! Muahaha… at least we bake for our men right?! They can put up with a little teasing! I’d love to go to a 5yr old dance party. Kids are the best 🙂

So fun to go to a little kid dance party!!
And those cookies look heavenly! I would’ve been upset, too, if I thought you only made one for yourself 🙂

Umm those cookies look delicious! You just inspired me to bake tonight.. it’s raining and I haven’t made cookies in so long! With IM training, it’s hard to find time to bake:) How adorable are those dance party photos:)

I’ve heard that cookies are good fuel for training. I may have to test this theory thanks to your recommended recipe. YUM!
